Free Entry Museum HampshireFort Nelson is a restored Victorian Artillery Fort, overlooking Portsmouth Harbour. The site covers 19 acres and has grass ramparts, underground magazines and tunnels, with stunning views of the countryside. The fort is home to the Royal Armouries collection of artillery; with over 350 guns charting the history and development of artillery from the earliest times to date. Live firing takes place every day and professional actors recreate history by bringing to life the past. Free guided tours are available. Open all year. Admission is Free.
