What did you think of Chessington?

So Year 6…How was your day at Chessington World of Adventures? What was the best ride? Did you conquer any fears whilst you were there?

The trip to Chessington is nearly upon us. Here are a few reminders about the trip:

The coach will be leaving the school on Tuesday at 8.00am.  Therefore, we need all the children to be in school by 7.40am. Mr Peplow and I will meet the children on the south playground. If you are helping out on this trip, please arrive at the same time.

The children will need to bring a packed lunch and a drink with them.  Please note that if your child is entitled to a free school dinner, the school will provide a packed lunch for them that day. The school should have been informed if this is required.

The children do not have to wear school uniform; however we ask that they come suitably dressed for a theme park with clothing appropriate to the weather conditions.  Please make sure that you check the forecast beforehand.  If the sun is shining, please ensure your child has sun cream on and a hat if possible.  The children will need to be wearing comfortable footwear as it is a long day and they will be doing lots of walking.  The children will be allowed spending money (maximum £10); however this must be kept in a purse/wallet and will be the responsibility of the children that day.  The children should not bring any eletronic equipment such as Ipad, Iphones etc.

We hope to arrive back at school by 7.00pm at the latest and ask that you collect your child from the North playground.  If we are running late for any reason then we will call the school as soon as possible. A message will be put up on the whiteboard to inform the parents.

We hope that this will be a fantastic day, celebrating all the achievements of the children in Year 6.

See you Tuesday at 7:40am. Early to bed on Monday! 🙂

Year Six Production

What a fantastic week of performances! Mr Peplow and I have been so impressed with all of the year 6 children in the rehearsals leading up to the performance. Within days, the children had lremembered all of their lines and were thinking about props, set and costume designs. All of the children’s hard work really paid off this week.  We have had a fantastic week showing our play to the school and all of the children’s parents, family members and friends.

A special thank you for all of the help given to the children in the run up to the play with organising costumes and learning lines.  The children all looked the part in their costumes.

We hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did! Until the next time….
